Buyer Terms and Conditions
To ensure sellers are treated respectfully and have confidence in Bridal Stories as a secure platform, the buyer agreement sets out the expected behavior from all buyers.
By using our site as a buyer, you agree to comply with the terms below, which describe the expected conduct.
Definitions
Buyer
A user of the site intending to purchase an item online on Bridal Stories or in person at the Lisbon showroom.
Seller
A user of the site intending to sell an item online on Bridal Stories or in person at the Lisbon showroom.
Bridal Stories Team
The Bridal Stories team manages content and reviews classified ads, but does not guarantee the condition of listed items. If you are unsure about a purchase, you can request assistance through our “Personal Shopper” service.
Classified Ads from Individuals
These are listings from individual users using the Bridal Stories platform to sell their items. Items in these listings remain with the seller and can be purchased directly through the site chat. Listings are reviewed and categorized by Bridal Stories according to our online sales terms, but the items themselves are not physically verified, so we cannot guarantee the accuracy or condition of the item described.
Bridal Stories Certified Listings (Catalog)
These are listings posted by the Bridal Stories team for items that have been verified. Items in these listings are available physically in our showroom in Lisbon and can be purchased in person. These items have been reviewed, categorized, and physically verified by Bridal Stories after quality control.
Security
Bridal Stories monitors conversations to ensure they comply with our Terms and Conditions and blocks any users or messages that violate the rules. Bridal Stories is not responsible for transactions, item conditions, or the accuracy of descriptions, but all listings are curated and reviewed by our team. Users can report suspicious behavior.
If you want item verification, you can purchase our additional “Personal Shopper” certification service by contacting us directly.
Bridal Stories is not responsible for any content in individual seller listings.
The seller is solely responsible for the details and accuracy of item descriptions, including disputes between buyers and sellers.
We recommend buyers verify items in person to inspect and try them, but this is entirely up to the seller. Contact the seller to ask about availability.
We do not promote or encourage users to rent items.
There is no guarantee that an item will be returned in the same condition. Makeup, tanning products, perfume, deodorant, wear, and tear are often unpredictable and sometimes impossible to repair or clean. These are just some of the risks with valuable items.

Communication
Communication between buyers and sellers is essential for a safe experience on Bridal Stories.
Our team monitors messages to detect fraud, abuse, spam, and policy violations. If you contact sellers outside our chat, we cannot assist with any resulting issues.
Required:
– Send all messages through Bridal Stories chat;
– Treat the seller respectfully and professionally;
– Respond promptly;
– Inform the seller if you are no longer interested in the item.
Not Allowed:
– Sending unrelated promotional messages;
– Sharing personal contact details unless for an in-person meeting;
– Sending repeated messages in a short period (spam);
– Offering less than 50% of the listed price;
– Asking sellers to rent, lend, or donate items;
– Using offensive language;
– Offering consignment options.

Payment for Your Online Purchase
Bridal Stories currently does not have an integrated payment system for direct transactions between buyers and sellers. Payment methods must be agreed upon between buyer and seller.
Bridal Stories is not responsible for any issues arising from payment methods.
Recommendations:
– Prefer in-person negotiation with a single transaction;
– If remote, use cash-on-delivery, postal services, or secure methods like PayPal, bank transfer, or MBWay.
Total payment may include:
– Item price;
– Shipping fee;
– Payment method transaction fee.
Required:
– Pay item and shipping in full;
– Verify seller details;
– Prefer cash for in-person purchases; transactions are final.
Not Allowed:
– Reservation fees, partial payments, or installments;
– Requests to rent, borrow, or donate items;
– Changing your mind after payment.
Shipping
After contacting the seller, finalizing the item, and arranging payment for shipping, Bridal Stories is not responsible for any shipping issues.

Disputes and Returns
Bridal Stories promotes local face-to-face sales but cannot guarantee online purchases. If unsure, consider our “Personal Shopper” service.
Required:
– Understand Bridal Stories is not responsible for individual online sales;
– Inspect the item within 2 days of arrival;
– Contact the seller immediately if issues arise;
– If unresolved, report to Bridal Stories through our website;
– In-person purchases are final.
Not Allowed:
– Contacting the seller after 2 days;
– Requesting returns due to changed mind; consider reselling;
– Requesting a refund;
– Holding Bridal Stories responsible for dispute outcomes.
