FAQs
We'll clarify all the questions and doubts you may have!
At Bridal Stories, wedding dresses are sold by brides just like you!
Brides who had a happy day, with items that were worn only once (many for less than 24 hours), or even brand new with tags, who would like to make another bride happy by giving their dress a new life instead of keeping it at home, and who are interested in recovering part of their investment.
The advantages of buying second-hand are many. By becoming a Bridal Stories Bride, you can find your dream dress at a more affordable price, while supporting other brides who are looking to sell their wedding dresses. And all of this in the most sustainable way possible!

Donating a dress for upcycling is also possible with Bridal Stories and is an eco-friendly solution for your forgotten dress. Don’t want the dress at home anymore and would like it to be repurposed?
We accept items in good condition as well as items with defects. Dresses with stains, tears, very visible marks, yellowed fabrics, yellowed sequins, etc. are not sellable for various reasons and can therefore be donated to Bridal Stories for material recovery and transformation (upcycling).
These items require several hours of work to be repurposed by Bridal Stories or by partners such as designers and seamstresses. They will be transformed into new dresses, separate pieces, or other items in order to avoid textile waste and prevent them from ending up in landfills or being incinerated. For this reason, donated dresses do not receive any monetary compensation.
Although we are not a “social project” but rather a small business, we always operate with a strong social and sustainability awareness. However, our main mission is the reuse of dresses, whether in their original form or by giving new life to fabrics and raw materials, preventing them from being wasted or deteriorating to the point of being discarded, further contributing to the textile waste problem in Portugal.
Did you know that in Portugal around 200,000 tonnes of textile waste are thrown away every year?
If you would like to donate your dress for upcycling, please email info@bridalstories.pt.
