You will receive our free pre-assessment by email. We accept dresses that fit our conditions and curation system.

In-person
assessment

If pre-selected, the dress must be delivered or sent in good condition. If accepted, we sign a contract and an administrative fee is paid.

A new story for your dress

The dress will be promoted online and tried on in our showroom. After the sale, a 50% commission will be sent to you.

We are an online and physical platform dedicated to preloved wedding dresses, aligned with the concept of sustainability and circular economy for brides with a purpose.

How does the consignment service work?

Once the online pre-assessment is sent by email (step 2), the in-person assessment is scheduled (step 3).

If accepted, the dress remains in the showroom under our responsibility for the stipulated period of 1 year.

This storage, maintenance, and promotion service costs €95 (12 months) and includes:

  • Personalized consultancy on dress optimization and alteration quotes (only if necessary)
  • If accepted, contract signing
  • Space and Storage (12 months)
  • Dress maintenance
  • Insurance
  • Detailed description, photographs, and video on the Bridal Stories website and social media
  • Continuous ad optimization
  • Personalized in-person service, fitting schedule management, and alteration service in our space.

Does Bridal Stories buy dresses?

We know that selling online is not always easy. Therefore, at Bridal Stories, we give you the opportunity to sell your item in person through a consignment service.

This means that we do not buy dresses directly.

The item is sold through us, with Bridal Stories acting as the sales intermediary with a 50% commission on the sale.

Why don't we buy dresses directly? This way we can value your item more, because if we bought it directly, it would not be possible to have the same offer.

As a rule, in the showroom we only accept dresses from the last 5 years. Keep in mind that a quality second-hand dress in good condition can be sold on average for 50% of the original price.

1 What is a consignment sale?

At Bridal Stories, you can sell your item on consignment in our showroom through us. This means we do not buy items directly.

The item is sold through consignment, that is, Bridal Stories is the intermediary for the sale. The service includes storage, maintenance, and promotion of the dress for a maximum of one year.

2What can I sell in the showroom?

This platform was developed to be a specialist in the sale of second-hand wedding dresses. In the showroom, we also accept the sale of accessories.

3What is the curation and assessment process?

To have a selected offer, we pay attention to the state of conservation, age, finishes, style, brand, commercial value, and probability of sale.

All items submitted for sale in the showroom are subject to prior curation through an online pre-assessment, the sending of a sale price proposal, and subsequently, an in-person assessment.

If approved, we sign a consignment sale contract and a service fee is paid.

4How long until my dress sells?
The time it takes to sell a dress depends heavily on demand at a given time. This can include factors such as trends, styles, size, finishes, price, and the current condition of the dress. The consignment itself, i.e., the time the dress stays here, can vary between 6 to 12 months.
5How much could my dress be worth?
You can obtain an estimated sale price through the simulator on our platform; however, it is only indicative and does not represent a detailed analysis. The in-person assessment takes into account the state of conservation, age, finishes, style, commercial value, and probability of sale. Once sold, our commission is 50%. 6Do you do cleaning or repairs?
We only consign items ready for delivery when they arrive at the showroom. To make a fair and correct assessment for both parties as well as to value the items, they must be delivered without defects, recently professionally cleaned, and ironed/steamed before the assessment in order to see the item's condition at its best. Any interventions necessary for the sale of the item in its best condition will be quoted and communicated before consignment, as an additional service under budget.
