What motivates me\u2026<\/b><\/h4>\n

Being a small business, it’s impossible for this post not to be personal. After 10 years of running non-profit, community-based clothing swap events with the “Troca-te!” project, and another forced pause due to the pandemic, I was faced with the decision of whether or not to continue. The question wasn’t about continuing with something in the area of \u200b\u200bthe circular economy, but rather what format, when, where, how\u2026 <\/p>\n

So, during the pandemic I decided to deepen and conceptually solidify what I already knew about sustainability and circular fashion by taking courses related to the circular economy, and on the other hand, to further define my purpose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

So what is my purpose, after all?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Although this phrase became famous through Sir Robert Baden-Powell (and no, I wasn’t in the Boy Scouts), it’s in the clich\u00e9 “Leave the world better than you found it” that I see myself!<\/p>\n

I want to leave a greener legacy for future generations, to create a solution and something that addresses a need in our society and “solves” a problem.<\/p>\n

That’s how, one afternoon in isolation watching my guilty-pleasure series “Say Yes To The Dress,” I said, “These dresses are only worn once! What a waste!” and started researching the life cycle of wedding dresses.<\/p>\n

I came across countless shocking stories and facts about the environmental impact of a wedding dress.<\/p>\n

When I started researching, I came across countless stories\u2026<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

  • “I don’t want my wedding dress to be stored away forever and get ruined!”<\/span><\/li>\n
  • “I want to have a wedding with less waste!”<\/span><\/li>\n
  • “It only makes sense to sell the dress and make someone else happy!”<\/span><\/li>\n
  • “I already consume sustainably, and I want to continue that on the day of the ceremony.”<\/span><\/li>\n
  • “Considering the expenses incurred, I may be able to recoup some of the investment for a trip.”<\/span><\/li>\n
  • “I want to live according to my values \u200b\u200band I don’t intend to spend that much for just one day.”<\/span><\/li>\n
  • “I’m not materialistic, and I want to pass on the legacy and keep this dress circulating.”<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

     <\/p>\n

    And so a special place was born\u2026<\/b><\/h4>\n

    In response to these stories, New Story Bridal was born in Picoas, later renamed Bridal Stories in Anjos, offering today’s brides a place that values \u200b\u200bexperiences more than things, challenges trends and traditions, and provides information, quality, and personalization, as well as affordable dresses with less impact on the planet.<\/p>\n
